Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Resort!

Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show

Aloha!  One of the most amazing parts of going on vacation to Disney World is all of the yummy food.  There is no shortage of places to eat and every time we go we like to try something new.  Last summer we were excited to stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort for the very first time!  We love this resort, while it is a deluxe resort and quite pricey, it is close in proximity to Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.

There are many things to do and many places to eat at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.  ‘Ohana is a popular restaurant that we enjoy dining at every time we go to Disney World.  The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is another restaurant/show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that we had yet to try and we finally went last Summer!

A cast member will direct all Spirit of Aloha dinner guests to the back doors of the Great Ceremonial House and lead you to the Luau Cove.  There are signs along the path guiding your way!

The Meal

At the Luau Cove the cast member will seat your group at your table number and start you off with beverages.  *The price of your meal also includes some free alcoholic drinks including some beers and sangria!  I chose the sangria while my husband paid a bit extra and purchased a tropical rum punch that was served in a hand-carved coconut that we took home!

Our wonderful server brought us some bread and a light salad that was served with a ginger lime dressing.  Next, we received platters filled with pulled pork, ribs, roasted chicken, veggies and noodles.  Everything was delicious and when the noodles and ribs were gone our server brought more for us to munch on!  Finally dessert was served, pineapple coconut guava cake that was simply divine!

The Show

You can enjoy your dinner while you watch the show!  Auntie Wini comes to the stage and she is your hostess for the evening.  You are invited to the luau she is hosting for one of the girls in the village who is leaving to go off to college.  It is a fun filled show with hula dancers, lot’s of music and singing, and even a fire knife performer!

Coincidentally, we were chosen as the ‘Ohana of the Day at the Polynesian Village Resort this very same day.  We got to participate in the torch lighting ceremony and met the fire knife performer!

Below is a highlight video we took of the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show.  We had Category 2 seating and had a great view of the stage.  I highly recommend sitting in this category as we had no obstruction of our view and a nice breeze.

Now sit back and enjoy the show cousins!
