At the D23 last year, Disney announced that a Ratatouille ride will be coming to the France Pavilion at Epcot! The new ride will be similar to the popular attraction Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (Ratatouille: The Adventure) at Disneyland Paris.
UPDATE: At D23 Destination D, it was officially announced that the Ratatouille ride will be named Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort on October 2021. This new ride will bring a much-needed attraction to this attraction-less area in the World Showcase.
The Ratatouille attraction will be a trackless 4-D ride where guests shrink down to Remy’s size, board a vehicle shaped like a mouse, and wear 3-D glasses to enhance the special effects. The adventure takes place in a gigantic kitchen and guests are whisked around, avoiding getting caught by Chef Skinner as they scurry to safety. This attraction is sure to be one that the whole family can enjoy! Below is a Disneyland Paris official video of Ratatouille: The Adventure.
Park guests visiting Epcot may have seen construction behind the area of the France and Morocco Pavilions at the World Showcase. A new building is being constructed behind these pavilions which will house the new Ratatouille attraction.
This area of Epcot is finally getting some much needed attention! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride is slated to open sometime in 2021. On the other side of the park in Future World a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction is also slated to open sometime in 2021. You can read all about it here!
