UPDATED: Celebrity Narrators Announced for Epcot’s 2018 Candlelight Processional

The Candlelight Processional for 2018 is shaping up to be one of the most magical moments of the holiday season at Epcot!  Disney announced a wide variety of celebrity narrators for the Candlelight Processional with more to be announced!

The celebrity narrators will be telling the traditional story of Christmas three times per evening at the America Gardens Theatre.  The narrators will be backed by a massed choir and 50 piece orchestra!

Show times are 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM.  On select nights, dining packages are available for purchase with guaranteed seating for one of the Candlelight Processional performances.

The celebrity narrators for the Candlelight Processional are:

November 22 & 23, 2018: Chita Rivera

Chita Rivera

You may know her from:  She is a dancer, actor, and singer staring in Broadway plays like West Side Story (1957) and Bye Bye Birdie (1960’s).  She is the first Hispanic woman to receive a Kennedy Center Honors award and was also honored the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.

November 24 & 25, 2018:  Helen Hunt

Helen Hunt

You may know her from:  She is an actress, director, and screenwriter.  She is best known for her role as Jamie Buchman in the TV show Mad About You (1992 – 1999).  She has also starred in many movies like Twister (1996)As Good As It Gets (1997), and Cast Away (2000).

November 26 & 27, 2018:  Alfonso Ribeiro

Alfonso Ribeiro

You may know him from:  He is an actor, comedian, and TV show host.  He is best known for his role as Carlton Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990 – 1996).  In 2015, he took over as the host of ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos.

December 3 to December 6, 2018:  Neil Patrick Harris 

Neil Patrick Harris

You may know him from:  He is an actor, singer, and magician known for many roles including Doogie Howser, MD, and as Barney on How I Met Your Mother.  He hosted many awards shows including Primetime Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, and the 87th Academy Awards.

December 7 to December 9, 2018:  Whoopie Goldberg

You may know her from:  She is an actor, comedian, and television host known for many roles such as Ghost, Sister Act, and The Color Purple.  She is currently the moderator on ABC’s The View.

December 10 to December 12, 2018:  Bart Millard

Bart Millard

You may know him from:  He is a singer and songwriter.  He is the lead singer of the band MercyMe.  MercyMe performed at Eat to the Beat Concert Series at Epcot on September 4 – 5, 2018.

December 13 & 14, 2018: Blair Underwood

Blair Underwood

You may know him from:  He is an actor and director.  He is known for TV shows L.A. Law, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., and Quantico.  He also starred in movies like Deep Impact (1998) and Rules of Engagement (2000).

December 15 to December 17. 2018:  Gary Sinise

Gary Sinise

You may know him from:  He is an actor, director, and musician.  He starred in movies such as Of Mice and Men (1992)Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), and the television show CSI: New York.

December 18 to December 20, 2018: Pat Sajak

Pat Sajak

You may know him from:  He is the host of the TV game show Wheel of Fortune which he has hosted for over 30 years.

December 21 to 23, 2018:  Auli’I Cravalho

Auli'I Cravalho

You may know her from:  She is an actress and singer.  She is known for voicing Moana in the Disney movie Moana (2016).

December 24 & 25, 2018:  Edward James Olmos

Edward James Olmos

You may know him from:  He is an actor known for such movies as Stand and Deliver, Selena, and Coco.

December 26 & 27, 2018:  Jodi Benson

Jodi Benson

You may know her from:  She is an actor and singer most notably known for playing Ariel in The Little Mermaid and Barbie in various Toy Story movies.

December 28 to December 30, 2018:  Cal Ripken, Jr.

Cal Ripken Jr.

You may know him from:  He is a former MLB baseball player who played with the Baltimore Orioles from 1981 – 2001.  He set the MLB record for consecutive games played at 2,632, breaking Lou Gehrig’s previous record of 2,130 consecutive games.  He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
