There are endless options for cool ice cream treats when visiting Magic Kingdom. There are Dole Whips, Ice Cream Sundaes, and of course the classic Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar! Now there’s a new treat in town that’s bound to make your taste buds glee with delight: The Peter Pan Float!
How Does It Taste?
This delightfully refreshing treat consists of key lime ice cream on top of Sprite soda. Delicately placed on top is a red chocolate feather which tastes so yummy! The Key lime ice cream was a bit tart on it’s own, but when mixed with the lemon lime soda it is the perfect treat to cool you down on a hot summer day!
Where To Find It!
Currently the only place to fly by and pick up the Peter Pan Float is at Storybook Treats, located across from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and next to the Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland.
Storybook Treats is open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Seating is available next to The Friar’s Nook. It’s a perfect spot to get some shade from the sun while you enjoy a delicious Peter Pan Float!
One of the biggest trends with Disney fans is taking pictures of their treats for Twitter or Instagram. The day we visited Storybook Treats it was 90 degrees with 1000% humidity! So we had to snap our pictures quick as you can imagine it started to melt almost immediately.
Directly across from this location is one of the turrets that extends from Cinderella Castle which was perfect for our pictures. (You can see it in the Magic Kingdom map above with a yellow flag on top!)
Pro tip: Our floats only lasted about 3 minutes before they started melting so plan your picture spot before you get in line so you can make sure you get the picture you want!
How Much Is It?
The cost for the Peter Pan Float is $5.49. Sadly this location does not accept the Disney Dining Plan at this time.
We absolutely loved the Peter Pan Float! For those people who are allergic to pineapple or simply do not like Dole Whips, this may be the perfect treat for you. As with most ice cream snacks from a quick service restaurant you do get a very large portion and you may be able to share with your little Mickey or Minnie! My little Minnie thought the ice cream was a bit tart for her and she decided to get a Strawberry Sundae from Storybook Treats instead.
Next time you’re at Magic Kingdom make sure to stop by at Storybook Treats, pick up a delicious Peter Pan Float, snap a picture or two and enjoy a cool, refreshing ice cream float!
