The ABC’s Of Planning A Disney World Trip!

So you are thinking about booking a trip to Walt Disney World Resort for your family.  You’ve thought about it for a while now, you haven’t been to Walt Disney World since you were a little kid, but remember you had an amazing time!  Now you want to share that magic with your family, but don’t know where to begin!  We’ve got you covered with the ABC’s of planning a Disney World trip!

A is for Animal Kingdom!

Animal Kingdom first opened on April 22, 1998.  It features animals and attractions in a beautiful natural setting where guests can have fun riding roller coasters and learn about conservation.  Some highlights of this wonderful park include:

  • Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain (featuring the infamous Disco Yeti)
  • Festival of the Lion King

This park really does have something for everyone in your family!  It is definitely worth a full day visit!

B is for Be Our Guest!

Be Our Guest Restaurant is located in Magic Kingdom Park and is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World!  Stop by for a quick service breakfast or lunch or make Advanced Dining Reservations for a wonderful French inspired prix-fixe dinner.  Make sure to check out all of the dining rooms including:

  • The Castle Gallery, featuring Belle’s library
  • The Grand Ballroom, with its beautiful snow glazed windows
  • The West Wing, featuring the enchanted rose

After dinner make sure to stop by at Beast’s private room to capture the memory and take a picture with the Beast!

C is for Cinderella Castle!

What can we say about Cinderella Castle, it is truly a sight to behold!  It is one of the most photographed places in all of Walt Disney World!  Seeing it for the first time will surely be one of your favorite memories.  The Castle is the icon of Magic Kingdom Park and we love taking a family photo here every time we visit!  Inside of Cinderella Castle you can find the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where your little girl can have a magical transformation into her favorite princess!  Also located in the Castle is Cinderella’s Royal Table.  Guests can dine while in the presence of royalty!

While you are visiting make sure you don’t forget to catch these shows at the front of the castle:

  • “Let the Magic Begin” beginning at 8:55 A.M. every day.  Join Mickey Mouse and his pals as they welcome guests to the most magical place on earth!
  • “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” in a fun musical stage show that takes place at various times throughout the day.
  • “Happily Ever After” nighttime fireworks extravaganza!  The fireworks can be seen from all over Magic Kingdom Park but make sure to get a spot in front of the castle to see some amazingly beautiful projections!

D is for Disney Dining Plan!

The Disney Dining Plan is a wonderful way to make your Walt Disney World vacation truly worry-free.  Guests booking a Walt Disney World vacation package including an on-property hotel stay and theme park tickets can also purchase a Disney Dining Plan.  There are 3 different plans available, one is sure to be perfect for your family!

E is for EPCOT!

EPCOT, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, was the second park to open at Walt Disney World on October 1, 1982.  It features two distinct “worlds” for guests to enjoy.  Future World and the World Showcase are both filled with amazing, fun filled yet educational attractions for guests to enjoy.
