One of our favorite pavilions at the World Showcase in Epcot is Mexico! It has amazing food & drinks, and of course, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros! Beginning on March 6, 2019, you can experience the story and music of Disney-Pixar’s Coco, courtesy of Mariachi Cobre!
Mariachi Cobre is a mariachi band that perform several times throughout the day at the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. They perform traditional folk music from Jalisco, Mexico. You may even recognize a song or two.
And starting March 6, in time for Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, Mariachi Cobre will be joined by folklórico dancers who will tell the story of Miguel Rivera, from Coco! You will get to enjoy music from the film and learn about Miguel’s passion for music. Miguel will make an appearance in the form of a hand-crafted puppet!
Coco, released in 2017, is a heart-warming movie and it will tug at your heartstrings! The movie is inspired by the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Miguel Rivera, the 12 year old boy, finds himself transported to the land of the dead where he meets his ancestors. It is definitely a movie you must watch if you haven’t yet!
We love this new addition to the Mexico pavilion. Mariachi Cobre and Miguel will be performing several times every day throughout the Mexico pavilion. Be sure to check out this adorable show at Epcot starting March 6, 2019!
